Summary
This policy explains how Kentrove: Last Run (the "Game") and this website handle information. In short:
- No account, no real name, no email, no contacts, no photos, no precise location. The Game never asks for them.
- No in-app purchases. We do not collect payment information.
- If you use our contact form or email us, we use what you send only to reply and improve the Game.
- Your progress is stored on your device.
- The Game shows ads from Google AdMob. Where the law requires it we ask for your consent first. On iPhone and iPad the Game shows only non-personalised ads and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- Gameplay analytics are off by default and only run if you switch on SHARE GAMEPLAY ANALYTICS in Settings.
- Crash reports are sent automatically so we can fix bugs.
- Leaderboard score sharing is off by default.
- We do not sell your personal information.
1. Who we are
The Game and the website at lastrun.kentrove.com are operated by Kentrove ("Kentrove", "we", "us"). Kentrove is the controller (data fiduciary) responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at support@kentrove.com.
This policy applies to the Game on iOS, iPadOS and Android, to this website, and to emails you send us. It does not cover third-party services that have their own policies, such as Apple Game Center, Google Play Games, the App Store and Google Play.
2. Data we collect
2.1 Data stored only on your device
The Game saves your progress locally: coins, weapon/armor/tactical levels, unlocked survivors and outfits, missions, personal records, settings (audio, graphics, aim mode, analytics and score-sharing choices) and a randomly generated pseudonymous profile ID. This save data stays on your device. Uninstalling the Game or clearing its data deletes it.
2.2 Data collected automatically
| Category | What it includes | Purpose | When |
|---|---|---|---|
| Crash & diagnostic data (Firebase Crashlytics) | Crash logs and stack traces, device model, OS version, app version, free memory/disk, orientation, a Crashlytics installation identifier, the pseudonymous profile ID, and in-game context at the time of the crash (graphics quality tier, equipped weapon and survivor, run start/end markers). | App functionality, stability and bug fixing. | Always on. |
| Advertising data (Google AdMob) | On Android, the device advertising ID. On iPhone/iPad the Game does not access the advertising identifier (IDFA); Google may use an app-scoped identifier (IDFV) for frequency capping and fraud prevention. Also: IP address (used to infer approximate country/region), device and OS information, app and SDK version, and ad interactions (impressions, clicks, rewarded video completion). | Showing ads, measuring them, preventing fraud and frequency capping. Personalised advertising only on Android and only where you consent; never on iPhone/iPad. | When ads are requested or shown. |
| Game configuration (Firebase Remote Config & Installations) | A Firebase installation ID, app version, platform and approximate country/region. | Delivering game balance and settings updates without a new app release. | When the Game fetches configuration. |
| Gameplay analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase) | Gameplay events (run started/ended, distance, score, kills, bosses, zone, run duration, coins earned, weapon, survivor, outfit, tutorial completion, rewarded video and interstitial ad events), a bucketed best-distance value, the pseudonymous profile ID, app instance ID, device model, OS, language, approximate country/region, and session information. | Understanding how the Game is played so we can balance difficulty and improve it. | Only if you turn on SHARE GAMEPLAY ANALYTICS in Settings. Off by default. |
| Leaderboard scores (Apple Game Center / Google Play Games) | Your scores for public leaderboards (for example distance, kills and survival time), submitted with your Game Center or Play Games profile. | Showing your scores on leaderboards and achievements. | Only if you turn on SHARE SCORES WITH GAME SERVICE in Settings and are signed in to the platform service. |
Advertising consent stored by Firebase stays denied: analytics data is not used for advertising or ad personalisation, and Firebase Analytics data is not linked to AdMob for ad targeting.
2.3 Data you give us
Contact & suggestions form. When you send a message through the form on our Support page, we receive the topic you choose, your message, the email address you give us, and — only if you choose to add them — your name, device and game version. Our hosting provider also processes your IP address to deliver the message and block spam and abuse. We use this information only to read and reply to your message, fix the issues you report and consider your suggestions. Your message is not used for advertising and is not added to any mailing list.
Email. If you email us, we receive your email address, the content of your message and anything you attach (for example screenshots or device details), and use it in the same way.
2.4 This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. It is hosted on Microsoft Azure, which automatically processes technical request data (IP address, browser user agent, requested page and time) to deliver pages and protect against abuse. Fonts and images are served from our own domain; your browser does not contact Google Fonts or any other third party when you visit.
2.5 What we do not collect
We do not collect your name, email address (unless you write to us), phone number, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data, precise location, health or financial information, or payment details. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data.
3. Third-party services
The Game and this website use the following service providers. They process data on our behalf, or as independent controllers, under their own terms and privacy policies:
- Google AdMob and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) — advertising and consent management. Google Privacy Policy · How Google uses data from apps that use its services · AdMob ad technology providers.
- Google Firebase — Crashlytics, Analytics (opt-in), Remote Config and Installations. Privacy and security in Firebase.
- Apple Game Center (iOS) — sign-in, leaderboards and achievements. Apple Privacy Policy.
- Google Play Games Services (Android) — sign-in, leaderboards and achievements. Google Privacy Policy.
- Apple App Store and Google Play — distribution of the Game. The stores may collect data under their own policies when you download the Game.
- Microsoft Azure (Azure Static Web Apps and Azure Functions) — hosting this website and processing contact form submissions. Microsoft Privacy Statement.
- Resend — delivering contact form messages to our support inbox by email. Resend Privacy Policy.
We share data with these providers only for the purposes described in this policy. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights, safety or property of players, Kentrove or others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of the Game (in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information).
4. Advertising & tracking
The Game is free and supported by ads. It shows interstitial ads between runs (never during active gameplay), app-open ads, and optional rewarded videos you choose to watch in exchange for an in-game reward (for example a revive, double coins, a weapon trial or a bonus crate).
- EEA, UK and Switzerland: before ads are requested, the Game shows a Google UMP consent message (an IAB TCF-registered consent platform). You can accept, reject or customise purposes and vendors. If you do not consent, you may still see non-personalised or limited ads.
- United States: where state privacy laws apply, Google's tools let you opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and targeted advertising. See US state privacy rights.
- iPhone and iPad: the Game requests non-personalised ads only. It does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, does not access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), and therefore does not show Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. Ads you see are chosen from general context (such as the app and your approximate country), not from a profile of your activity.
- Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalisation, in your device's Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads).
On Android, personalised advertising uses the advertising identifier and related data to show ads based on your interests across apps and websites. Where you have allowed it, this may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising under some US state laws. Non-personalised ads, which are always used on iPhone/iPad, are not based on your past behaviour, but Google still processes limited data (such as IP address and ad interactions) to deliver, measure and protect them.
5. Why we use data (legal bases)
We use personal information only for the purposes in this policy. Where the GDPR, UK GDPR or similar laws apply, our legal bases are:
- Performance of a contract — providing the Game you asked to play, including saving progress, delivering configuration and granting rewards you chose to earn.
- Legitimate interests — keeping the Game stable through crash reporting, showing non-personalised ads that fund a free game, preventing fraud and abuse, and responding to support requests. We balance these interests against your rights, and you can object at any time.
- Consent — personalised advertising (Android only), storing and reading information on your device for advertising where required (ePrivacy), gameplay analytics and leaderboard score sharing. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing.
- Legal obligation — where we must keep or disclose information by law.
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we process digital personal data on the basis of your consent or for legitimate uses permitted by the Act.
6. Your choices & controls
You control most data processing directly in the Game, with no need to contact us:
| What | How to control it |
|---|---|
| Advertising consent | In the Game: Settings → PRIVACY OPTIONS (shown where consent is required) to review or change your choices at any time. |
| Tracking (iOS) | Nothing to do: the iPhone/iPad version does not track you and shows only non-personalised ads. |
| Advertising ID (Android) | Android Settings → Google → Ads (or Privacy → Ads) to reset or delete the advertising ID. |
| Gameplay analytics | In the Game: Settings → SHARE GAMEPLAY ANALYTICS on/off. Off by default. |
| Leaderboard score sharing | In the Game: Settings → SHARE SCORES WITH GAME SERVICE on/off. Off by default. You can also sign out of Game Center or Google Play Games in your device settings. |
| Everything stored on your device | Uninstall the Game, or clear its app data (Android). |
Rewarded videos are always optional. You can play the full Game without watching them.
7. How long we keep data
- On-device save data — until you uninstall the Game or clear its data.
- Crash reports (Crashlytics) — crash stack traces and associated identifiers are kept by Firebase for 90 days.
- Gameplay analytics (if enabled) — user-level and event-level data is kept for no more than 14 months, then deleted automatically. Aggregated, non-identifying reports may be kept longer.
- Firebase installation ID — kept while the Game is installed; Firebase deletes it after it is no longer used, as described in Firebase's documentation.
- Advertising data — retained by Google according to the Google retention policy.
- Leaderboard scores — kept by Apple Game Center or Google Play Games according to their policies; daily and weekly boards reset automatically.
- Support emails and contact form messages — kept as long as needed to resolve your request and for up to 24 months afterwards, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
8. Data deletion
The Game has no Kentrove account, so there is no account to delete. Here is how to remove your data:
- Local progress: uninstall the Game (or clear its data on Android). This permanently removes your save data from your device.
- Analytics and crash data: email support@kentrove.com with the subject "Data deletion request". Because we do not know who you are, we will explain how to find the identifiers we need to locate your data (before you uninstall, if possible). We will confirm and complete deletion within 30 days, or tell you why we can't.
- Advertising data: reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings, and use the Google controls linked in section 4.
- Leaderboard scores: turn off score sharing, and manage or delete your Game Center or Google Play Games profile through Apple or Google.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy (portability);
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your information;
- restrict or object to processing, including processing based on legitimate interests and direct marketing;
- withdraw consent at any time;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising;
- nominate another person to exercise your rights (India);
- complain to a data protection authority.
To exercise a right, email support@kentrove.com. We will reply within the time the law requires (normally within 30 days). We may need information to verify your request and to find your data, because the Game identifies devices only by random identifiers. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
10. Regional information
European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland
You have the rights listed in section 9 under the GDPR, UK GDPR or Swiss law, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Consent for advertising is collected through Google's UMP consent message, and you can change it at any time under Settings → PRIVACY OPTIONS.
United States (including California)
In the past 12 months the Game has collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (advertising ID, installation and app-instance IDs, the pseudonymous profile ID, IP address); internet or other electronic network activity (gameplay events if analytics is on, ad interactions, crash diagnostics); and inferences (approximate country/region and ad interests used by Google if you allow personalised ads). Sources and purposes are described above. We disclose these categories to the service providers in section 3.
We do not sell personal information for money. Allowing personalised advertising may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising or "targeted advertising" under laws such as the CCPA/CPRA. This applies only to the Android version (the iPhone/iPad version shows non-personalised ads only). You can opt out by declining or withdrawing consent under Settings → PRIVACY OPTIONS, deleting your Android advertising ID, or by emailing us. We honour Global Privacy Control signals where they apply to this website. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
India
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you have rights to information, correction and erasure, grievance redressal and nomination. To raise a grievance, email support@kentrove.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
11. Children
The Game contains realistic violence and horror themes. It is intended for mature players and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or under the minimum age set by local law (for example 16 in some EEA countries, or 18 under India's DPDP Act). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email support@kentrove.com and we will delete it.
12. International transfers
Kentrove operates from India, and our service providers (including Google and Apple) process data in the United States and other countries. Where personal information from the EEA, UK or Switzerland is transferred, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, which Google and Apple include in their data processing terms, or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where applicable.
13. Security
Data sent from the Game to our service providers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). We limit what we collect, use pseudonymous identifiers instead of real identities, and restrict access to our Firebase and AdMob consoles to authorised people using strong authentication. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the authorities of a breach where the law requires.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the Game, its services or the law change. We will post the new version here and change the "Last updated" date. If a change materially affects how we use your personal information, we will tell you in the Game or ask for your consent again where required.
